Toy Story, featuring Buzz Lightyear, was released by Disney in 1995. Other characters included Woody, (Andy's favorite toy), Slinky Dog, Mr Potato head, and Sid. The film was animated and generated completely by computer.
The story goes - Buzz Lightyear finds himself in Andy's room after crash landing his space ship. Buzz thinks he is the defender of the galaxies, sent to defend the universe from the evil Emperor Zurg - and not just a toy. Meanwhile, Andy's other toys, including their leader Woody, feel threatened by Buzz Lightyear, and plan to get rid of Buzz from Andy's room. Woody's plan however, backfires, and he finds himself, with Buzz Lightyear, outside Andy's room, trying to figure out a way to get back in!

Scooby doo was created by Hanna Barbera productions in 1969 and continues to be a much loved children's character of today. Scooby Doo started out as a cartoon, with 5 main characters, Scooby Doo (a Great Dane), Freddie, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy. The basic concept of the cartoons (and indeed later the films) is that the team of 5 ride around in van - the Mystery Machine, and solve tales of Ghosts and Ghouls. The mystery always gets solved, and is the team find that the Ghosts and Ghouls were just used as a smoke screen for villains trying to scare folk away.
Scooby Doo, does not live up to the temperament of his breed. He is neither strong nor fearless, and when faced with perceived Ghosts, is found (usually with Shaggy) saying " yikes, lets get out of here", while he makes a dash for the nearest exit. Other much loved and used in every day life, sayings from Scooby Doo are "Scooby snacks" and " I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids"
Apart from many televisions series and cartoons, there have been 2 full length Scooby live action theatrical releases.
