These quilts have a quality polycotton outer with 100% hollow fibre filling designed to drape around your body for warmth without weight. These fully washable quilts will provide you with years of carefree comfortable bedding. Ideal for allergy sufferers. Machine washable.

Please note, this quilt has a quality polycotton outer and not the cheap corvine material found on cheaper quality quilts.

The 15.0 and 13.5 tog quilts are ideal for those cold autumn/winter nights wilst the 4.5 tog quilts provide light comfort for the summer.

Duvets - pronounced do-vey are very popular in Northern Europe and their popularity is now spreading accross the Atlantic. The term duvet day became popular in the 1990s and referes to a discretionary day that large companies awarded to their employees. Empolyees could simply ring up work and say they were not coming in, without the need to book a holiday or be ill !

Our duvets (also known as quilts) come in a range of tog ratings, sizes and fillings so you can pick the right one for warmth and comfort.

Duvets / quilts work by trapping warm air, and the higher the tog rating, the more warmth the duvet will provide. The table below will help you decide which tog rating is right for you.

Summer duvet
4.5 tog
Available in super king, king, double and single bed size.

Spring/Autumn duvet
9.0-10.5 tog
Available in super king, king, double and single bed size.

Winter duvet
13.5 - 15.0 tog
Available in super king, king, double and single bed size.

Duvets also come in a synthetic or natural fillings.

Naturally filled duvets / quilts, like goose or duck feather and down, are soft and light and drape around your body perfectly. The natural fibres also tend to last about 3 times longer then hollowfibre, giving the duvet a lifespan of around 30 years. However, these duvets can not be repeatedly laundered as its ability to trap air will be diminished. These duvets are also not suitable for allergy suffers.

The difference between down and feather is that down comes from the belly of the goose or duck. Down has insulating qualities whilst feathers shed water from the goose or duck. Goose down and feather quilts are extremely high quality and are more "breathable. Make sure the Goose feather and down quilts you buy are pocket stitched. This means that the quilt is stitched into lots of square pockets ensuring that the feather and down stay in place rather then ending up at one end of the duvet, leaving "cold spots" eleswhere. You will probably have to pay a little bit more for a pocket stitched feather and down duvet, but it will be worth it.
